The dragon pact warlock was Half-Orc Bard's first homebrew, and by far the most popular. With D&D Essentials came the hexblade warlock, who has the same pacts as the original warlock but fights in the midst of melee with a pact weapon. Now the dragon pact is also available to the hexblade, through all 30 levels of the game.
LEVEL 1: DRAGON PACT REWARD
- Benefit: You gain a bonus to the damage rolls of your warlock and warlock paragon path attack powers. The bonus equals your Constitution modifier. The bonus increases to 2 + your Constitution modifier at 5th level, 4 + your Constitution modifier at 15th level, and 6 + your Constitution modifier at 25th level. At 9th level, you also gain this bonus to the damage rolls of the creature you summon with summon warlock's ally.
LEVEL 1: DRAGON PACT BOON
- Benefit: You gain the dragon rage power.
Dragon Rage - Warlock Utility
The energy released from your dying foe invigorates your next assault.
At-Will (Special) * Arcane

Trigger: You reduce an enemy to 0 hit points, or an enemy adjacent to you drops to 0 hit points.
Effect: You gain a +2 bonus to your next attack roll before the end of your next turn.
Special: You can use this power only once per round.

Special: This attack can score a critical hit on a natural die roll of 19-20. However, if the natural die roll is 19, you do not benefit from the weapon's high crit property.
Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.
- Level 21: 2[W] + Charisma modifier acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.
Special: You can use this power as a melee basic attack.
Twin Dragons - Warlock Attack
You strike twice, each strike representing a different kind of draconic power.

Standard Action - Melee weapon
Requirement: You must use this power with your dragon tooth.
Special: Choose two of the following damage types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison. If you make two attacks with this power, the first attack deals damage of one type and the second attack deals damage of the other type. If you make one attack with this power, the attack deals damage of both types.
Target: One or two creatures
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier damage.
- Level 13: 2[W] + Charisma modifier damage.
- Level 23: 3[W] + Charisma modifier damage.
Effect: You have combat advantage against every enemy until the end of your next turn.
LEVEL 7: DRAGON PACT WEAPON RETRIBUTION
- Benefit: You gain the draconic backlash power.
Draconic Backlash - Warlock Attack
You have learned so many draconic abilities that it has become almost second nature to protect yourself like a dragon would.

LEVEL 9: SUMMON WARLOCK'S ALLY (DRAGON)
- Benefit: You can use summon warlock's ally to summon an adult guard drake.

HP your bloodied value; Healing Surges none, but you can expend a healing surge for the drake if an effect allows it to spend one
Defenses your defenses - 2, not including any temporary bonuses or penalties

- Attack: Melee 1 (one creature); your level + 7 vs. AC
- Hit: 2d10 + your Charisma modifier damage, or 2d10 + 2 + your Charisma modifier while the drake is within 2 squares of you.
Minor Action * At-Will (1/round)
- Effect: The drake either walks, shifts, runs, stands up, squeezes, or crawls.
(m) Opportunity Action * At-Will
- Trigger: An enemy ends its turn adjacent to the drake.
- Attack: Melee 1 (triggering enemy); your level + 7 vs. AC
- Hit: 5 damage.
LEVEL 11: HEXBLADE'S ACTION (DRAGON)

You convince your enemy that you a source of wealth and fame, and draw it closer in preparation for the kill.

Hit: 3d10 + Charisma modifier psychic damage.
Effect: You may pull the target up to 4 squares. The target is immobilized until the end of your next turn.
LEVEL 12: DRAGON PACT INVOCATION

You call upon powerful dragon wizards or even dragon gods, who will either grant you explosive power or curse you with sudden weakness.

Minor Action - Personal
Effect: Until the end of the encounter, whenever you target any enemy with a melee or a ranged attack, roll a d20. On a 10 or higher, you also target each enemy within 2 squares of the target (even if they would normally be out of range of the attack). On a 1 or 2, you take a -10 penalty to the attack's damage roll (if any), and you are weakened until the end of your next turn. Otherwise, the attack is resolved as normal.
LEVEL 16: IMPROVED DRAGON PACT BOON

You take on the form of a true dragon in everything but size. You even gain a breath weapon that can be used over and over.

- Benefit: You can use summon warlock's ally to summon a great rage drake.
